Brian Bunn

Percussion Instructor

Brian Bunn is one of Southwest Michigan’s most successful and accomplished rock drummers.  Brian’s mastery of percussion comes from 30 years of playing music in a variety of venues and styles.  He’s done studio work, performed in front of crowds of thousands, and has worked closely with professional musicians throughout his career.   Brian has studied with world-renowned drummers and participated in numerous drum clinics and music workshops around the country.  He is an avid vintage drum collector as well, buying and selling vintage and unique drums all over the world.

Whatever your aspirations, Brian will help you identify your musical strengths, encourage you, and motivate you…he’ll never stop giving you the inspiration to make the most of your talent.

Lessons usually start with the basics…like learning the names of the drums, setting up and tuning your drums, how to hold your sticks, and how to strike your drums. Then you’ll learn to play beats, fills, grooves and special techniques.  Brian will also cover the foundation in rudiments, reading and music theory. Whatever your musical background, you'll learn quickly and easily with personal demonstrations, and close-up one-on-one instruction.

Brian works with you to cater to your specific musical needs and personal rate of development.  Students will be challenged to be creative, develop rhythmic independence, stage presence, confidence, and self esteem.
